Out My Window
1/10
They say you do not need to travel far to find interesting subject matter to photograph, rather to just look in your own backyard. Today, in the midst of running little errands before work, I really looked out of my bedroom window and decided to make some photographs.
Lately I have really been noticing the condensation that is occurring on windows in my, and friend's homes, due to the lowering of outdoor temperatures and raising of indoor temperatures. There is something just so appealing about condensation to me. It's the distortion and warping that the beads of water create that I think I find so glamourous. It's also the layers upon layers of visual information that begin to reveal stories to me as well. Sometimes with double-paned windows, years of neglect and built up grime in addition to the newly formed condensation, creates a beautiful landscape.
